LinkedIn Grifting

Using LinkedIn for anything other than looking for a role is a foolish endeavor

I'm not ever going to stop shitting on LinkedIn. It sucks because it's my primary platform to find roles, as I can find relevant roles for software engineering and stay active in responding to recruiters. No other platform provides a resource to be discovered for a role and land a call that same day. Other sites are approaching a solution, but nothing is close for corporate-type roles.

However, the content on LinkedIn is absolutely brain-dead. It's funny because this is a platform of people "above" the nonsense of other immature platforms. However, a lot of these mother fuckers are the most copy-paste corporate personalities transformed into quirky pro-whatever is politically correct individuals. The individual word is loosely used as morons praise another CEO for supporting social movements while acting differently behind closed doors. They're actively slashing salaries, moving jobs overseas, cutting employees off, stalking them at their residences over insurance claims, etc.

LinkedIn exists solely to appease wealthy people, and I'll explain why the "influencers" do nothing but that.

First, I want to make it clear, LinkedIn (like JIRA) is the best solution but still dog shit.
